Members of the Forum of Eminent Nigerians are mainly drawn from across the geopolitical zones in the Southern part of the country and are united in their resolve that the existing structures can no longer sustain the unity of the country.
They include former Minister of Foreign Affairs, retired Major General IKE NWACHUKWU; former Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom Doctor CHRISTOPHER KOLADE; and former governor of Old Anambra State, CHUKWUEMEKA EZEIFE, as well as Professor ANYA O. ANYA, Chief AYO ADEBANJO, among others
After a meeting in Lagos, the elder statesmen resolved to align with other leaders from the North, including former Military President, General IBRAHIM BABANGIDA and former Vice President, ALhaji ATIKU ABUBAKAR, who have also voiced their support for the restructuring of the country.
After reviewing the spate of agitations across the country, the elders maintained that Nigeria must remain united and that every citizen must feel free to live anywhere within the country.
