The House took the decision after walking out FERDINAND ABARA; an official of Halliburton who reported to the Assembly on behalf of the management of the company in response to the House summon.
But the disappointed Speaker, IKUNYI OWAJI-IGBANI said the Managing Director must appear in person on the next sitting in respect of a petition accusing the company of discrimination against Rivers indigenes in its employment scheme.
Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Rivers State House of Assembly thereafter adjourned sitting till Monday next week.
