Chairman of the House Committee on Education, FARAH DAGOGO said the legislature would partner with the ministry of education to ensure that the rehabilitation of infrastructure in schools is sustained.
DAGOGO made the pledge during an inspection of ongoing work at the Government Girls Secondary School, Rumuokwuta in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area.
On his part; the Commissioner for Education, Professor KANIYE EBEKU also used the occasion to disclose the intention of the state government to shut down all unapproved schools beginning from September.
Professor EBEKE said the names of about five thousand illegal private schools operating in Rivers State would be published in national and local papers in the coming days.
