The summon was based on a motion jointly moved by the members representing Obio-Akpor State Constituencies One and Two, MARTIN AMAEWHULE and MICHAEL CHINDA.
The two Obio-Akpor lawmakers claimed that there was a systematic discrimination against Haliburton employees of Rivers State origin.
Their claim was supported by other lawmakers, who observed during a debate that some oil companies in the state are in the habit of disregarding laid down labour regulations.
In his ruling; the Speaker of the House, IKUINYI-OWAJI IGBANI also extended invitations to the leadership of labour unions in the state and the Ministries of Justice and Employment.
