RSG says Gov SIM administration committed to working with Rivers people for the smooth running of his administration.

The State Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Prince Isaac Umejuru gave the assurance in reaction to a request by over fifty candidates of opposition political parties, who contested various positions in the 2023 general election in the State.

Umejuru who however, promised to take their message to the Governor, pledged that he would work for the interest of all responsible Rivers people at all times.

Meanwhile, Candidates of fourteen Opposition Political Parties in Rivers State and thousands of their supporters, appear to be set to dump their various political parties to join the PDP, Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his Deputy, Professor Ngozi Ordu in the face of the ongoing political turmoil in the State.

The Rivers State Chairman of the Candidates of Opposition Political Parties, Obihelie John in a message to Governor Fubara through Umejuru, declared their readiness to working with the Governor.

On their parts, the Vice Chairperson Joy Wokoma and the Secretary Eturu Jacob of the Opposition Political Parties said they would defect to the PDP to support and strengthen the tenure of Governor FUBARA, insisting that the state remains a PDP state.
