The Rivers State University Teaching Hospital has unveiled a Service Excellence Unit aimed at improving patient care and service delivery.
According to the hospital’s management, the newly established unit will serve as a dedicated platform to receive and address complaints, feedback, and concerns from patients and their families.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Chizindu Alikor, said the initiative would enable the hospital management to promptly identify and address gaps in service delivery. He added that the institution is now better positioned to provide patient-centred care.
Also speaking at the event, the Head of Service, Inyingi Brown, described the establishment of the unit as a significant step towards strengthening public confidence in the hospital.
She expressed optimism that the initiative would help build greater trust among residents and patients who rely on the facility for healthcare services.
