This follows the approval by the National University Commission for the courses to be offered in the university.
The Rivers state Government disclosed this in a statement issued by the Commissioner for Information and Communication, PAULINUS NSIRIM.
According to the statement, the programmes are expected to commence in the 2019/2020 academic session.
The statement said the approval came after a successful resource assessment of the College of Medical Sciences, Teaching Hospital and the Department of Nursing Sciences in November last year.
