Rivers State Police visits burnt station in Oyigbo, others

The CP and his men  alongside sister agencies also visited creek road, Azikiwe road, Ikwerre road in show of Force and to reassure Rivers People of the commitment of the Security agencies to protect lives and property.

 

CP Mukan who addressed newsmen after the visit revealed that the Police and other security agencies have the capacity to protect lives and property.

 

The Commissioner of Police reassured Rivers people that the Police and other sister agencies will do all within their ability to ensure peace and stability and also dismissed insinuation that the Divisional Police Officer, of Oyigbo Police Division was dead, saying that he is alive and presented the DPO of Oyigbo Division, Suleiman Abdullahi to Journalists to Burgess his claim.

 

The Commissioner of Police who was accompanied by other service Chiefs in the state also visited Judiciary complex in Oyigbo which was vandalized and Sagana axis of Aba Road in Port Harcourt where there was report of disturbances earlier today.

 

Correspondent Uchendu Ejiowhor reports that over twenty-five vehicles was burned down by the hoodlums in Oyigbo Area command complex, the carcass of the Divisional Crime Officer of the Area command, Oyigbo and the carcass of a Soldier that who were roasted by the hoodlums were sighted.

 

Also sighted are two burnt Army patrol vehicles and an Armoured Personnel Carrier why Oyigbo was still deserted as at the time of the visit.
