Spokesman of the Command in a statement said the robbers were killed when they engaged men if the IGP Monitoring Unit in a gun battle.
OMONI said the men of the IGP Monitoring had responded to a distress call by the residents of an Estate in the University of Port Harcourt.
He said some of the items recovered from the armed robbers include: One Cut-to-size single barrel gun, Two single barrel pistols and some cartridges.
The Police Command said efforts are being made to arrest other fleeing members of the robbery group.
