Spokesman of the command, Nnamdi Omoni in an interview with our correspondent said under–funding has hindered provision of required equipment and human resources.
Omoni who is a Deputy Superintendent of Police said shortage of arms and ammunition, patrol vehicles and other necessary materials to ensure enforcement of orders and fight against crime and criminality are major challenge faced by the command.
DSP Omoni while disclosing that the command has fifteen thousand Personnel deployed all round strategic areas of the state also complained of lack of morale and financial support from members of the public in the fight especially at this time of COVID-19.
