UWAJI said the investigation panel set up by the Inspector General of Police is pointless.
The state lawmaker blamed the Police for alleged irregularities that occurred during the December 10 rescheduled election.
NATHANIEL UWAJI observed that Rivers State has to overcome challenges it faced as a result of the political rivalry between PDP and APC.
He called on all successful candidates to put aside their differences and concentrate on working for the development of the state.
On his part; a Port Harcourt-based lawyer, CHRISTIAN NJIGWUM, also kicked against the investigation committee set up by the Inspector-General of Police.
NJIGWUM told newsmen that since the Rivers State Government had protested against the action of the Police, it was improper for the same police to setup a committee on same matter.
NJIGWUM also said the Police have no right to investigate an alleged audio clip that purportedly had the voice of Governor NYESOM WIKE.
The lawyer contended that the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria does not allow for the Governor of any state to be investigated regardless of the crime committed.
