Rivers State Labour party Faults 90bn Loan allocated to States

State Chairman of Labour Party, FAVOUR FELIX said ninety billion naira was too small for the thirty-six states of the federation.

The party chairman of gave this indication in reaction to the frequent approval of loans for Governor NYESOM WIKE by the Rivers State Government.

He also justified the additional nine billion naira loan to be taken from Zenith Bank, stressing that the money is tied to specific projects.

You will recall that the Central Bank of Nigeria had directed commercial banks to stop giving loans to state governments.

The bank directed states in need of funding to take advantage of the ninety billion facility approved by the Federal Government.
