Rivers State House of Assembly set Stage for Government to Request Reimbursement of funds spent on Federal Roads

This followed the adoption of a resolution by the House in plenary following a petition raised by the House Leader and lawmaker representing Obio-Akpor Constituency One, MARTINS AMAEWHULE.
The roads listed by AMAEWHULE include the Eleme axis of the East West Road, which he further said is begging for Federal Government attention.
In his ruling, the Speaker, IKUNYI OWAJI-IGBANI said the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs should also be notified about the state of federal roads in Rivers State.
Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Rivers State House of Assembly also screened and confirmed the appointment of new chairman and members of Degema Local Government Caretaker Committee.
