Today FM’s Preye Izogu reports that the lawmakers unanimously voted for the confirmation of the commissioner designates.
Their confirmation follows a vote call by speaker of the House, Ikuiyi Ibani after the debate.
Speaking during the screening exercise, the Leader of the house, Martins Amaewhule moved a motion for a former member of the house of Representative, Jacobson Nbina as well as former commissioners to take a bow and leave.
On her part, the member representing Okrika state constituency, Linda Steward pleaded with the house to allow a former spokesman of the All Progressives Congress Chris Finebone to take a bow and go following his previous records on advocacy for women’s rights in the state.
Speaking after his screening and confirmation, Finebone promised to work in the interest of the state government.
