Governor NYESOM WIKE made this promise in Port Harcourt while flagging off 2016 Ember Month Special road Safety Campaign of FRSC.
The Governor noted that the ongoing road projects and fixing of street lights was to ensure safety on the roads just as he pledged that his administration would provide the need help to FRSC to ensure that there was safety on the roads.
The position of the Governor was made known through the state commissioner of Transportation, AKIE FUBARA.
Also speaking at the event in Isaac Boro-Park in Port Harcourt, the State Sector Commander of FRSC, ANDREW KUMAPAYI assured the his men were going to be deployed in the major five corridors of the state to ensure that drivers obey traffic rules and regulations.
KUMAPAYI explained that they decided to consolidate campaign on the use of speed limit.
