This is because the State Government has set up a committee to look into the demands by the health workers.
Our correspondent CHINEDU IWUNNA reports that the committee is mandated to look into the financial component of the demands by JOHESU with the aim of implementing one hundred percent payment of the consolidated health workers salary structure.
A source within the leadership of JOHESU, who confirmed the development to our correspondent, said the committee comprises of both government officials and members of the union.
You recall that JOHESU had issued a fourteen day ultimatum to the state government to address it demands or face industrial action.
However; the ultimatum was suspended for four weeks after officials of the Rivers State government met with leaders of JOHESU and promised to address the health workers demands.
