Rivers State Governor, NYESOM WIKE has inaugurated a Judicial Commission of Inquiry into the violence and killings during the re-run legislative elections on 19th of March.

 

Governor WIKE performed the inauguration ceremony of the Inquiry headed by Justice MONIMA WENIKE DANAGOGO with a charge to identify those responsible for the killings, the victims of the attacks and the scope of violence that marred the electionsThe Judicial Commission of Inquiry is also mandated to identify property damaged in the course of the violence, the owners of such property and to submit its report in one month, beginning from yesterday. Responding to the charge, Justice DANAGOGO promised that the commission will work without fear or favour.
