Rivers State Governor NYESOM WIKE has approved the payment of  three-months arrears of allowances for pensioners, which was inherited from the immediate-past administration.
Governor WIKE also promised to ensure regular payment of pensions of retired workers, stressing that it was heartless and insensitive to owe those who have served the state creditably.
Details of the directive were  contained in a statement signed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Publicity, Sir OPUNABO INKO-TARIAH.
