RIvers State Government sympathizes with fire victims

The Secretary to the State Government, Tammy Danagogo assured residents of the area that a thorough investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the fire.

Danagogo pledged that the state government is committed to providing support and assistance to those impacted by the tragic events, and is working to implement measures to enhance safety and prevent such disasters.

Similarly, fire has razed down a paint-producing company in Woji community, Obio-Akpor Local government Area of Rivers State.

Confirming the incident to Today FM, a member of Woji Council of Chiefs, Chief Brain Ogbonda said information available revealed that the fire started from an electric socket in a warehouse and spread to where petroleum product was stored.

Ogbonda said the explosion from where the generator is housed spread to other parts of the building.

According to the Woji Chief, the fire did not spread to other buildings outside the company.
