Rivers State government secures waiver to build 15 modular refineries

Commissioner for Energy and Natural Resources, Peter Medee revealed this in an exclusive  interview with Today FM’s Jennifer Emejuru on Thursday.

Medee explained that the State has provided an enabling environment for companies to engage in the production of the petroleum by-product adding that the waivers were given from the national council of Hydrocarbon as part of the State’s efforts to boost in country’s production.

On the increasing prices of Liquefied Petroleum Gas, the commissioner reiterated that production remains on the exclusive list of the Federal Government.

He also attributed the surge to the activities of middlemen, while disclosing plans by the Rivers State Government to clampdown on gas station involved in products decounting.
