The Commissioner for Information and Communications, AUSTIN TAM-GEORGE made the clarification while responding to questions during a security stakeholders meeting in Port Harcourt.
TAM-GEORGE also said the state government was yet to come up with a rehabilitation plan for the beneficiaries of the amnesty programme.
The Commissioner said the intention of government has always been to engage the repentant criminals in skills acquisition training.
He said government will make its position clear when the suspected criminals have genuinely surrendered their arms and turn a new leave.
