The Chairman of the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) in Rivers State, Nature Kieghe, has sharply criticized the current political class, asserting that they do not prioritize the interests of the state’s residents.
Speaking as a guest on Rhythm’s news and current affairs program, “Viewpoint,” Nature Kieghe expressed deep concern over the economic conditions faced by the people of Rivers State. He lamented that residents are currently experiencing the worst economic hardship in their lifetime.
“It is evident that the focus of many of our current politicians is not on the welfare of the people of Rivers State,” Kieghe stated during the program. He highlighted the significant challenges faced by citizens, including rising costs of living and limited economic opportunities.
On the same program, the Secretary of the PRP in Rivers State, Synchro Uchendu, also weighed in on pressing issues. Uchendu specifically addressed the imposition of an emergency rule, urging the president to consider its impact on the citizens and lift it as quickly as possible.
Uchendu’s call for the reversal of the emergency rule indicates concerns within the PRP regarding its effects on the daily lives and well-being of the people in the affected areas.
