The Chairman of the Publicity and Communications Committee of the Consolidation of the New Rivers Vision Campaign Council, Ogbonna Nwuke confirmed this to our correspondent.
Ogbonna Nwuke said the party has received official approval from the office of the Commissioner for Education, Professor Prince Chinedu Mmom to use facilities owned by the State.
He said the payment was in compliance with the precautionary requirements of five million naira per venue stipulated in Executive Order 21.
Ogbonna Nwuke said Governor Wike has laid a solid foundation for the incoming administration.
In a swift reaction, the All Progressives Congress in Rivers State dismissed the Peoples Democratic Party’s claim of paying ninety-five million naira for campaign venues.
The spokesman of the APC in Rivers State, Darlington Nwuju said no political party is capable of paying that amount of money for a political campaign.
He said the executive order twenty-one and twenty-two are deceitful.
