This was made known by the State Chairman of PDP, FELIX OBUAH, who also claimed that the detained Ad Hoc election officials have been moved to Abuja.
In a statement released by his spokesman, OBUAH said the alleged arrest happened twenty-four hours after the Fifteen-man panel set up by the Inspector General of Police to investigate the alleged violence during the re-run election visited Governor NYESOM WIKE.
He said the PDP obtained information that the twenty-one INEC ad-hoc staff were detained at the State Criminal Investigation Department in Port Harcourt.
The PDP Chairman cited sources who claimed that those arrested were transferred to Abuja yesterday, and are being forced to confess receiving money from Governor WIKE, the PDP and its candidates.
An independent source at the State CID has confirmed to our correspondent about the arrest of some persons in relation to the Rivers rerun election.
However; our source could not validate the additional claim that those arrested had been transferred to Abuja for further interrogation.
