The Caretaker Committee Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State, Ogbam Ojimah, has welcomed a Court of Appeal judgment against the Abdurahman-led faction of the party.
In a statement, Ojimah described the ruling as a victory for party discipline, constitutional order, and internal democracy.
He said the judgment invalidates actions taken by former National Secretary Samuel Anyanwu and members of his faction, adding that they no longer represent the PDP in any official capacity.
Ojimah commended the judiciary for upholding the party’s internal disciplinary processes and said the ruling would help protect political parties from external interference and internal sabotage.
He also called on the Independent National Electoral Commission to update its records and reflect the authentic leadership of the party in line with the court’s decision.
