Itubo was declared winner of the primaries after pulling two hundred and one votes out of the two hundred and seventy two delegate votes.
She defeated a former member of the House of Representatives, Eneyi Braid who pulled seventy one Votes.
Speaking after her emergence, Itubo called on Rivers people to ensure they secure their permanent voter cards in order to vote out bad leaders.
