Justice JOSEPH BAMGBOSE who read the judgement said candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP, GEORGE IPALIBO was wrongly declared winner of the election, adding that the results used to declare the SDP candidate was not the Certified True Copy from INEC.
The Tribunal concluded that the respondents, IPALIBO and his party, SDP could not defend that they duly won the election.
Counsel to SDP, CLINTON WEST said they may appeal the judgement based on the decision of the clients.
On his part, DIKE UDENNA who is counsel to the PDP and its candidate, TEKENARI WELLINGTON described the verdict of the Tribunal as industrious.
Correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the Tribunal also awarded a cost of five hundred thousand naira against the SDP.
