The State Acting Publicity Secretary, Darlington Nwauju stated this while addressing newsmen after a one day workshop for the party’s local government area public secretaries, with the theme public communication for political parties.
Nwauju also said the APC in Rivers state will refrain from discussing individuals and engage more on facts as it affects rivers people.
Nwauju said the essence of the workshop for publicity secretaries is to educate them on the need of proper political communication, to avoid putting out information liable to incite violence in the state.
Also speaking, coordinator, APC Forum of Local Government Area publicity secretaries, Jerome Fyne emphasized the need for local government as a third tier of government to exercise its administrative independence.
He said the APC is doing the needful to ensure its publicity secretaries across the local government areas are properly sensitized on the system’s operational ethics.
