The affected local government areas where repentant cultists and criminals were denied enrollment by the amnesty committee are Tai and Gokana Local Government Areas.
The Committee headed by KENNETH CHINDA said it was not impressed with the nature of weapons surrendered by those who came forward to embrace amnesty, and it therefore issued a seven day ultimatum to the cultists to surrender their arms or be declared wanted.
But the leadership of the apex socio-cultural organization KAGOTE has questioning the position of the Amnesty Committee, with its President, PETER MEDEE saying that weapons used to by cultists in Ogoniland do not belong to them, and as such they have nothing to surrender.
MEDEE who spoke in an interview with our correspondent, CHINEDU IWUNNA, claimed that the weapons being used by the criminal gangs belong to gang leaders who are outside Ogoniland.
The KAGOTE President appealed to those that are close to the criminal gang leaders to prevail on them to surrender their arms or direct their boys in Ogoni to do so.
One SAMUEL OGOSU was also given one week to surrender his arms or face the wrath of the law by the Rivers State Amnesty Committee.
