Our correspondent SANDRA KENNETH reports that members of the Amnesty Committee visited communities around Abua-Odual Local Government Area, including Okoboh, Amalem, Otare, Owerewere, and Ayama.
Seventeen AK-47 rifles, five pump action guns, forty locally made single and double barrel guns, sixteen wraps of dynamite were among items recovered from the repentant cultists and criminals.
There were also thirty pieces of dynamite, ten detonator, over one thousand rounds of live ammunition, and seventy five cartridges.
Addressing former cultists and residents of the communities, the Chairman of the Amnesty Committee, KENNETH CHINDA said the natural resources in Abua-Odual can only translate into development if the place is peaceful.
