A rights activist, Charles Jaja, has welcomed revelations from a Freedom of Information request filed by the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project against the administration of former Rivers State Administrator, Ibok-Ete Ibas, regarding how state resources were spent.
In a statement, Jaja urged SERAP not to relent, stressing that the people of Rivers State deserve full transparency on the management of public funds. He also criticized politicians who supported the declaration of a state of emergency in the state, calling on them to take responsibility for their actions.
