RESIDENTS OF MBANO CAMP CALL FOR URGENT FLOOD AND ROAD INTERVENTION

Residents and business owners of Mbano Camp in Oyigbo Local Government Area of Rivers State have appealed to Governor Siminalayi Fubara to urgently intervene in the worsening condition of roads and drainage systems in the community.

They said years of failed roads and stagnant floodwater have crippled economic activities, forced shop closures, and driven tenants away.

According to residents, the situation worsens during heavy rainfall as floodwaters carry refuse into homes and business premises, raising fears of possible disease outbreaks if urgent action is not taken.

They called on the state government to construct proper drainage channels and rehabilitate affected roads to ease the hardship faced in the area.
