Governor WIKE said there was no court order stopping the PDP National Convention, stressing that the court was yet to hear the suit filed by the factional chairman, Senator ALI MODU SHERIFF.
The Rivers State Governor made the declaration while addressing the South-South Executive Committee of the PDP at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
Governor WIKE said the Abuja Federal High Court could not have sacked the Senator MAKARFI-led National Caretaker Committee of the PDP because it cannot sit on appeal on the judgment of a court of coordinate jurisdiction.
WIKE also said there was an application to allow Senator MARKAFI to be joined as a party in the suit, which he said was adjoined to 15th August.
The Governor also disclosed that leaders of the PDP in the Southern geopolitical zones will meet on Thursday to determine the zoning of positions in the national leadership.
