The respondents, who spoke with our correspondent IFUNANYA OBEME-NDUKWE, said they patronize pofire because the prize of the originally refined kerosene is very high and most times unavailable.
They however said they are fully aware of the hazards that come with its use and have become accustomed to using it just as they appealed to the government to reduce its price.
Meanwhile, stakeholders of the oil and gas sector in Rivers state have blamed the use of Kpofire on the unavailability of the originally refined kerosene in the Portharcourt refinery depot.
They expressed concern that for over two years, the federal government have failed to supply some petroleum products to the Portharcourt refinery depot making the public to go for what is available.
