SYLVANUS NNAMDI AMADI, who is the Publicity Secretary of Etche Leaders of Thought group, said Etche people have never had it so good.
In a statement obtained by our correspondent, AMADI said development initiatives have given the people of Etche a sense of belonging that they have been yearning for over the years.
He said as the food basket of Rivers State; the people of Etche ethnic nationality who are predominantly farmers, would be able to move their farm produce freely to the urban markets.
The spokesman for Etche Leaders of Thought said the group also welcomes the appointment of Professor MERCURY NDIMELE as Vice Chancellor of the Rivers State-owned Ignatius Ajuru University of Education.
He said Etche people have also enjoyed uncommon favour in the last one year through the appointment of Justice CHRISTY GABRIEL-NWANKWO as President of Customary Court of Appeal, as well as the elevation of Justice CHIWENDU NWORGU as a Judge of Rivers State High Court.
The Etche Leaders of Thought called on the people of Etche ethnic nationality to continue to support the PDP government in Rivers State and also vote for candidates of the party in the December 10 re-run elections.
In a related development, the National Association of Etche Daughters in Diaspora also commended Governor NYESOM WIKE for giving the development of infrastructure and human resources in Etche.
In a statement signed by Doctor CAROLINE NWEKE on behalf of the group, The Etche Daughters in Diaspora described Governor WIKE as God sent.
The group assured promised that the people of Etche will continue to support the government of Governor WIKE, which it described as people-oriented administration.
