The meeting as initiated by the leadership of Gokana Peace Ambassadors and other Christian leaders, a couple of days after hundreds of young people came out publicly to renounce their involvement in cultism and criminal activities in Gokana.
Our correspondent gathered that the mission of the Gokana stakeholders is to seek the intervention of Chief ATEKE TOM to help persuade other boys who were yet to embrace the peace initiative to turn a new leaf.
After a closed-door meeting at Chief ATEKE TOM’s resident at Okochari community in Okirika Local Government Area, the leader of the Gokana Peace Ambassadors, KPAKOL ALEEMA-KPAKOL told newsmen that they were satisfied with the outcome of their discussions.
ALEEMA-KPAKOL also used the opportunity to issue a strong warning on those who have vow to continue engaging in violence act in Gokana to have a rethink.
On his part, Chief ATEKE TOM encouraged the people not to relent in their efforts to enthrone peace, just as he pledged his commitment to ensure that peace return to Gokana.
