NWONOSIKE and the other thirty-eight accused persons were arrested during the supplementary election in Etche and Omuma Local Government Areas on 25th of February.
Our correspondent VICTOR EZEAMA reports that the trial started with the cross-examination of the first Prosecution Witness, who is the Invetigating Police Officer from State Criminal Investigation Department of the River State Police Command.
After the cross-examination; Chief Magistrate SOKARI ANDREW-JAJA adjourned to 16th March for continuation of hearing.
You will recall that the Rivers State Government assumed prosecution of the matter after the Director of Public Prosecution was granted the request by the Chief Magistrate.
