Qatar has been facing isolation from its Arab neighbours over alleged sponsoring terrorist groups, including the so-called Islamic State and Hezbollah militant group in Lebanon, which it has denied.

But four Arab states, which are made up of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain, have sent a list of thirteen demands Qatar must fulfill if it wants them to lift their blockades.

In addition to shutting down the pro-Arab Al-Jazeera broadcaster, the Gulf state is also demanded to reduce ties with Iran and close a Turkish military base.

The demands were made after United States Secretary of State REX TILLERSON urged Qatar’s neighbours to adopt reasonable and actionable approach in dealing with the crisis.

There has not been any response from Qatar to the list of demands but the Foreign Minister SHEIKH MOHAMMED BIN ABDULRAHMAN AL-THANI had earlier said it would not negotiate until the punitive measures are lifted.
