FCCPC Sets October 7, 2025, for Arraignment of MultiChoice Nigeria Officials Over Competition Act Breach

The Federal Government, through the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), has scheduled October 7, 2025, for the arraignment of Adewunmi Ogunsanya, Chairman of MultiChoice Nigeria Limited, and John Ugbe, the company’s Managing Director. The officials are facing allegations of breaching the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act of 2018.

Justice James Omotosho presided over the matter and fixed the new date after Chizenum Nsitem, counsel representing the FCCPC, requested an adjournment due to the absence of the defendants in court. During the hearing, neither Ogunsanya nor Ugbe appeared, with their absence attributed to claims of improper service of court documents, including the hearing notices.
