Senator SARAKI noted in a statement that he was not disturbed by the government’s move to reinstate the eighteen-count charge against him through the Court of Appeal.

In a statement obtained by our correspondent, Senator SARAKI expressed confidence that the verdict of the Appellate Court would not be different from that of the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

He said the facts of the case remain the same and the grounds on which the decision of the CCT was based remain unassailable.

The Senate President noted that those who are running commentary on the ruling by the Tribunal and criticizing it are those who are not familiar with the case and the details coming out of the trial.

He equally called on security agencies to immediately commence investigation on claims of bribery in the handling of the case against him, adding that those who made the allegation should be invited for questioning.
