The Operations Media Coordinator of the Nigerian Army, Col AMINU ILIYASU, who made this known in a statement, said the Operation Python Dance or ‘Egwu Eke’, which covers the South East will now be called ‘Atilogwu Udo.’
He however added that the exercise which is designed to combat criminal activities including kidnappings, armed robbery, inter-cult and communal clashes among other sundry crimes in the region remain unchanged.
ILIYASU reiterated the commitment of the Nigerian Army in protecting lives and properties of citizens particularly during the ember months, and solicited the support of the public towards providing a well secured environment.
