Protest holds in Lagos despite 2face cancellation.

The protest was initially promoted on social media by celebrity singer, 2-FACE IDIBIA, who was forced to announce his withdrawal due to security concerns.

However; activists operating on the platform of Enough is Enough campaign group, insisted on going ahead with the demonstration, which they said was beyond an individual but for the entirety of Nigerians.

Following the move; over a hundred protesters reportedly turned up for the Lagos rally with handful of placards read inscribed with messages directed at the government.

One of the placards noted that unemployed people are hungry and angry, while another kicked against the government practice of applying different sets of rules in dealing with people facing similar issues.

The concerns of the protesters include security, education, health, power and unemployment.

The aborted nationwide mass rallies were also meant to feature in Port Harcourt, with the Isaac Boro Park designated as the take-off point.

But the area has not recorded any unusual activity today, except for a set of police patrol trucks deployed on standby.
