A spokesman for the group, WILCOX TAMUNO, told our correspondent that the Federal Government was using its agencies to embarrass PATIENCE JONATHAN.
Meanwhile; the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has fixed 24th April to hear the case of fundamental rights enforcement filed by Dame PATIENCE JONATHAN against the EFCC.
Justice SALIHU SAIDU fixed the date after the EFCC, through its lawyer KAYODE ONI, filed a notice of preliminary objection, challenging the jurisdiction of the court to entertain the matter.
But the plaintiff’s lawyer, GRANVILLE ABIBO, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, faulted the EFCC objection, which he said was a delay tactic by the anti-graft agency.
Outside the courtroom; ABIBO told newsmen that they decided to approach the court to stop the EFCC from intimidating the wife of the former President.
Before now, the EFCC had secured an order of a Federal High Court sitting in Lagos freezing the account of Dame PATIENCE JONATHAN in connection with ongoing investigation of money laundering and other financial crimes.
