The primary healthcare workers are among other things demanding for the transfer of their salaries from the local government to the Rivers state Primary Healthcare Management Board as well as the promotion of health workers.
The matter which was initially at the National Industrial court was withdrawn by the health workers to enable an out of court settlement of the issues with the state government.
However several years down the line, the demands of the health workers were yet to be addressed and the chairman of the association, Deniel Atieme who spoke with Today Fm’s Chinedu Iwunna said they will return to the court in the next fourteen days to seek redress.
