President BUHARI was received at the Presidential Wing of the MurtalaMuhammed Airport by Governor AKINWUNMI AMBODE and other top government officials.
The airport reception marks the commencement of a two-day official visit to Lagos by the President.
From the airport, President BUHARI was led to the Eko Hotel and Suites on Victoria Island to attend a symposium in honour of former Lagos State Governor and APC national leader, Asiwaju AHMED TINUBU, who is celebrating his his sixty-sixth birthday.
The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, KEHINDE BAMIGBETAN, has disclosed in a statement that the President would also perform the official flag-off of the construction of the Lekki Deep Sea Port project at IbejuLekki.
President BUHARI is also billed to inspect the ongoing construction work at the Eko Atlantic City in Victoria Island, in addition to unveiling the Ikeja Bus Terminal built by the Lagos State Government, which is expected to provide services for some one hundred thousand residents across twenty-three bus routes.
Reports from Lagos indicate that there is massive deployment of security operatives on the roads and streets of the city, while several major roads in the metropolis are on lockdown as part of broad security measures.
The State Government had declared today as work-free day to make way for the reception of President BUHARI.
