President Buhari condemns killings in Katsina state

The hoodlums on Friday evening carried out separate attacks on both villages, killing thirty people mostly elderly women and children.

In a statement, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU, quoted President BUHARI as saying that killing people in the name of revenge is not acceptable.

The Presidency warned that no one has the right to take laws into their hands and if local communities apprehend the bandits, they should be handed over to law enforcement authorities.

President BUHARI further urged community leaders and the local authorities to continue their efforts in partnership with law enforcement agencies that bring the surrender of bandits, leading to peace between farmers and herders.
