The Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant-General ABAYOMI OLANISAKIN emerged from the meeting to inform State House correspondent that government was viewing the state of security of the country very seriously.
Lieutenant-General OLANISAKIN also said the Nigerian Military has begun analyzing the new Boko Haram video posted by the terrorist group.
The Defence chief also confirmed that one of the persons declared wanted has already surrendered to the authorities.
He also said Boko Haram’s demand for the release of its detained members in exchange for the kidnapped Chibok girls is not up for consideration by the military.
All the Service Chiefs, the Comptroller General of Customs, the National Security Adviser and some cabinet ministers attended the Security Council meeting.
