The affected officers were found culpable in the escape of prisoners from Kuje Prisons in Abuja and Koton Karfe Prison in Kogi State.
The decisions were approved during an emergency meeting of the Civil Defence, Fire, Immigration and Prisons Services Board.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the Board, the Controller-General of Prisons was also quoted to have approved the dismissal of seven junior staff serving at Kuje Medium Security Prison and ten other junior staff serving at Koton Karfe Prison.
