A statement signed by the Special Adviser to the President on Media, FEMI ADESHINA said President BUHARI had planned to leave Sunday afternoon, but decided to stay a bit, due to the arrival of eighty-two Chibok girls who arrived Abuja earlier in the day.
He assured all Nigerians that there is no cause for worry.
The statement which did not state how long the President will be gone, says the length of the President’s stay in London will be determined by the doctors.
ADESHINA said President BUHARI has transmitted letters about the trip to the Senate and the House of Representatives, in compliance with Section 145 of the 1999 Constitution.
He said government will continue to function normally under the able leadership of the Vice President, YEMI OSINBAJO.
