The decision was made two days after Pastor ENOCH ADEBOYE of the Redeemed Christian Church of God stepped down as the General Overseer of RCCG Nigeria based on a directive by the council, which had sparked outrage among members of the church.
The President’s decision was contained in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, GARBA SHEHU.
The statement read that OBAZEE has immediately been replaced with DANIEL ASAPOKHAI as the new Executive Secretary of the Council.
President BUHARI has also approved the appointment of ADEDOTUN SULAIMAN as the new Chairman of the Council.
